MyEtherWallet Latest to Enter DeFi Arena With Integration on Aave and Ren
Ethereum’s oldest user-friendly wallet is staking territory in DeFi. MyEtherWallet is expanding its integrations with decentralized finance through its dedicated wallet communication tool, MEWconnect. On Thursday, the project announced an integration with Aave and Ren, which marks the first time that third parties are using the MEWconnect technology.  MEWconnect is a wallet linking system developed specifically for MyEtherWallet, and it is similar to those found on other DApp-enabled wallets like Metamask, Coinbase Wallet or more generalized frameworks like WalletConnect. Kosala Hemachandra, MyEtherWallet’s CEO, told Cointelegraph that the system was originally designed to securely connect MEW wallet app users to its web-based frontend. But the system is currently being used for more than just the MEW app, allowing users of other software and hardware wallets to connect to the Ethereum blockchain through its web interface. The company says that this is part of its commitment to not lock in users into a specific solution, which it believes is the common goal of the Ethereum ecosystem. For some DeFi protocols, MyEtherWallet provides two options.

Ethereum Saved by DeFi in July, Tron Scores in All Metrics - DappRadar
A contrast, so to say, between two major blockchains was observed by dapp (decentralized app) data aggregator and analysis firm DappRadar in July: While Ethereum (ETH)'s results were "controversial," Tron (TRX)'s development was positive across the board. While ETH price increased in July by more than 50%, the number of daily active wallets decreased by 6%,

Five Years Later, the Ethereum DApp Ecosystem Looks Exactly as Predicted
The Ethereum ecosystem is now seeing the growth and adoption of ideas outlined more than five years ago, including many of the components of DeFi. Ethereum’s fifth anniversary from the mainnet launch is upon us, marking an important milestone in the long history of the first smart contract platform to reach significant adoption. Following the initial coin offering mania, today’s main narrative behind Ethereum is decentralized finance, an ecosystem that seeks to recreate the financial system from scratch on the blockchain. Ever since Ethereum’s founding, the application layer has been at the center of its value proposition.

Theta Partners With Korean Gaming Platform to Reward Its 3M Users
The token-powered Esports streaming platform Theta has expanded into Korea, partnering with the popular gaming-centric social platform Ludena Protocol. The crypto-powered Esports streaming platform Theta has partnered with South Korean social gaming platform Ludena Protocol to reward its gamers for viewing or streaming content. The partnership will see Theta protocol integrated into GameTalkTalk, Ludena’s first decentralized application (DApp) — allowing the gaming-centric social platform’s more than three million users to access Theta’s streaming services through the platform. Ludena’s users will be rewarded for engagement in the form of Theta’s TFUEL token. Theta TV to integrate GameTalkTalk The agreement will see an exclusive GameTalkTalk channel added to Theta’s streaming platform, Theta TV — allowing Ludena to tap into Theta’s audience of more than five million users. The integration will comprise the first launch of Theta’s Live Mobile Embed service for Android in Korea, which allows Theta TV content to be broadcast via a smartphone. Theta Labs and Ludena Protocol will also collaborate on marketing GameTalkTalk to Theta’s  European and North American communities. Mitch Liu, Theta Labs’ chief executive, described GameTalkTalk as “an ideal partner” for the launch of the Theta Live Mobile Embed product. “In just a couple of months after announcing Theta Live Embed, it is now live on more than dozens of partner sites globally and we are excited to branch out to Korea for the first time and to onboard local content,” Liu added. Theta tokens consolidate The markets for Theta’s TFUEL and THETA tokens have largely trended sideways since retracing from the meteoric highs posted in June amid the launch of Theta’s mainnet 2.0 in May. The launch saw THETA surge 450%, and TFUEL skyrocket 950%, in May. Since retracing last month, THETA has ranged between $0.22 and $0.27, while TFUEL has oscillated between $0.008 and

DApps Need to Nail Usability to Move From Crypto Niche to Mainstream
Yield farming is driving a boom in DApp and DeFi use, but user experience improvements will be key for future adoption in the next five years. From CryptoKitties to Compound, decentralized applications and decentralized finance have become increasingly popular in the blockchain space, but the sector has gone through a fair share of teething problems since DApps first appeared in 2017. DApps were popularized around the same time that Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a monumental surge in value toward the end of 2017.
